Our Philosophy

In one delicious nutshell, Fresh Routes is all about engineering a new direction in vegetarian living.

What exactly does that mean? We believe a lot of vegetarians put too much focus on what you don’t eat as oppose to what you do eat. To us, vegetarianism doesn’t revolve around being eco-friendly or activists for the animals, it’s not even about being healthier— it is simply about making great tasting food that happens to be meatless.  We’re not your run-of-the-mill vegetarians.  Taste trumps all.

Admittedly, we have no formal culinary training.  But degree or not (which we do have by the way, just not in the culinary arts) the important thing is we love being in the kitchen, constantly experimenting with new flavors and ingredients, always trying to find food bliss.

In our never-ending quest to find our food nirvana, we love using all types of ingredients, everything from the finest of truffle oils to plain ole’ black pepper.  Some of these ingredients may be harder to find or put a bigger dent in your wallet, but we think they’re worth it.

No matter what kind of recipe you’re looking for–the perfect casserole for Sunday brunch, a simple veggie to go with dinner, or a decadent dessert to satisfy your chocolate cravings–we hope we can provide you with a tasty, vegetarian recipe for it!  If you can’t find something you’re looking for, let us know.  We’d love to hear from you!  We’re always open to new recipe ideas.
